Chakra Balms for Meditation
Chakra Balms for Meditation
Are you looking for a boost to your yoga or meditation practice? Finding your chakras could use a bit of balancing? My new balms come in a slide tin, so they are easy to take along. They are a base of coconut oil, beeswax, and jojoba oil, with blends of essential oils considered to work with the various chakras. Each slider tin has approximately .3 oz and are scented with different blends of essential oils. I have also added small gemstones to each tin, infusing the balm with the energy of the crystals as well.
Chakras are thought to be the energy centers of the body and are found in yoga as well as many different beliefs. The seven main chakras are:
Root Chakra - associated with the base of the spine, the colors red & black, and considered to be where our sense of safety & security come from. The element of Earth is connected to the root chakra. This balm could be used at the base of your spine/lower back, as well as at the pulse points. Blend of Ginger, Black Pepper, and Nutmeg, infused with Tourmalated Quartz.
Sacral Chakra - associated with the lower belly and lumbar spine, the color orange. The sacral chakra is often thought to be our emotional and creativity center. It relates to the element of Water. This balm could be placed at the point a few inches below the belly button, as well as at the pulse points. Blend of Bergamot, Lavender, and Patchouli with Carnelian.
Solar Plexus - associated with the abdomen just below the ribs. It's connected with the element of Fire and the center of will power and bringing ideas into being. The color yellow is shown with this chakra. This balm could be used above the belly button or at the pulse points during meditation. Blend of Pink Grapefruit, Ylang Ylang, and Ginger with Carnelian and Smoky Quartz.
Heart Chakra - associated as you may guess, with the area of the heart. This chakra brings together the earthly chakras with the spiritual chakras. Both pink and green are related here as well as the element of Air. This charka is about harmony, acceptance of self, and abundance. Placing this balm at the center of your chest, as well as on the pulse points of the wrists can help focus here as you meditate, or go about your day. Blend of Lemon, Tangerine, and Geranium with Rose Quartz and Green Aventurine.
Throat Charka - the chakra located at the base of the neck is connected with the color blue, the elements of sound and ether. The throat chakra rules communication, your sense of timing, and purpose. The Throat Chakra balm could be used at the base of the throat or behind the ears, and the hinge of the jaw. Blend of Cypress and Chamomile with Tourmalated Quartz and Lapis Lazuli.
Third Eye or Brow Chakra - this chakra is located between the eye brows and connects with a bluish purple color. The element associated with the brow chakra is Light. Vision and intuition are found within this chakra. This balm could be applied to the spot between the brows, or the pulse points of the wrist. Blend of Lavender, Marjoram, Pine Needle, and Vetiver with Lapis Lazuli.
Crown Chakra - located at the top of the head, associated with the color purple and also white. The crown chakra is thought to connect us with the universal and our balance center. This balm could be used at the crown or at the base of the neck, as well as at the pulse points. Blend of Frankincense and natural Vanilla with amethyst.
